Grammy nominated and platinum-selling artists, Jonas Brothers, today announced that R&B pop singer and 2007 American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, will be the opening act for the band's concerts in Monterrey, Mexico. Sparks will perform both shows with the Jonas Brothers at Arena Monterrey on July 31st. Due to a scheduling conflict, Demi Lovato is no longer able to join the Jonas Brothers for these engagements.

In 2007, Jordin Sparks released her self-titled debut album Jordin Sparks, which featured chart-topping singles "Tattoo" and "No Air". The 19 Recordings/Jive Records artist is now set to release her sophomore effort, Battlefield, later this month. She has worked with hit-making producers and songwriters that include Dr. Luke, fellow label-mate T-Pain, Ryan Tedder, Stargate, and others for this upcoming release.

This would not be the first time that the Jonas Brothers and Jordin Sparks are together on the same stage. Sparks is a confirmed special guest on the North American leg of the 52-date "The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009", which kicked off in Dallas on June 20th. Sparks will also join the band for their shows in Monterrey.

Tickets available at Saharis, Backstage, Arena Monterrey box office and www.superboletos.com
